Common questions about individual therapy

I’ll be checking in with you regularly to make sure you’re getting what you need from our sessions. I encourage you to be open and honest with me about your thoughts and feelings regarding our time together. If at any point you feel we’re not a good match, please know that I’m committed to supporting you find a therapist who is right for you.

That really depends on your unique needs and goals. Some people find what they need in just a few sessions, while others prefer to work through their challenges over several months or even years. I recommend starting with weekly sessions, and then gradually reducing the frequency.

At this time- I’m out of network with all insurance providers. However, I can provide a Superbill for a possible out-of-network reimbursement.

I work with adolescents (12+) and adults.

Common questions about couples therapy

Not at all! Couples therapy is for any relationship, whether you’re dating, engaged, married, or in a long-term partnership. It’s about strengthening your bond, no matter your stage in the relationship.

Most insurance plans do not cover couples or marriage counseling. Health insurance generally only covers treatments considered “medically necessary” for a diagnosed mental health condition, and relationship challenges on their own typically do not meet this criteria. However, it’s a good idea to contact your insurance provider directly to inquire about your mental health or behavioral health benefits.

  • We’ll begin with a 90-minute long joint session, where I’ll gather detailed information about your relationship history and the challenges you’re currently facing. During this time, I may observe how you interact, including moments of conflict or stuck patterns. This session is followed by a relationship checkup, which is a more formal evaluation of your relationship.
  • Then, I’ll meet with each of you individually for 50 minutes. This is your opportunity to share anything that feels difficult to say in front of your partner. During this time, I’ll also gather a more detailed personal history from each of you.

  • We’ll come back together for a 50-minute joint session to review the feedback I’ve compiled from all the information gathered so far. By this point, we’ll have a clearer understanding of where you are, where you want to be, and what it will take to get there.

Common questions about family therapy

If your family is experiencing frequent conflicts, miscommunication, a lack of connection, or struggles adjusting to life changes, therapy can help you work through these issues in a safe, constructive way.

The duration of therapy can vary. It may take a few sessions to address immediate issues or several months for deeper, long-term work.

At this time- I’m out of network with all insurance providers. However, I can provide a Superbill for a possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Common questions about life coaching

Life coaching focuses on helping you set and achieve specific personal or professional goals, while therapy often focuses on addressing mental health issues. Coaching is forward-focused and action-oriented, whereas therapy may be more about healing and introspection.

In most cases, life coaching is not covered by health insurance because it is considered a personal development service rather than a medical or mental health treatment. However, some employers may offer coaching as part of wellness programs or professional development benefits, so it’s worth checking with your HR department.

Yes, all coaching sessions are completely confidential, ensuring a safe and supportive space for open and honest discussions.
